How does an optical mouse works?

How optical mouse works:

    1. Optical mouse has a light emitting diode  (LED) , the LED produce a red light that is emitted into a surface.
     2. An optical mouse uses a tiny camera to send input to a computer.
     3. The computer moves the cursor on the screen based on the coordinates received from the mouse.
    4. An optical mouse also work by using an optoelectronic sensor to take successive image to the surface on which the mouse operated.
    5. The Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) sensor sends each image to a Digital Signal Processor (DSP) for analysis.
