How does an optical mice work?

.In optical mice a red light emitting diode shines a light and this light bounce off a surface and gets detected by CMOS(complementary metal-oxide semiconductor sensor).

.This sensor takes a picture 1500 times per second.

.The computer moves the cursor on the screen based on the coordinates received from the mice.

.These pictures are received by digital signal processor (DSP) that analyzes picture.

.Optical mouse is the way to better tracking and smooths the total experience.
